"DISCUSSIONS ON FINNISH, EUROPEAN AND GLOBAL SECURITY" Objective The Youth Network is pursuing the objectives of the Atlantic Council of Finland (ACF) (see Who we are and message from the chairman) among students and young professionals (ca 18-35 years of age). The aim is to promote discussion, research and information in Finland on Euro-Atlantic security and defence policy issues, with a special focus on NATO and the EU. This shall be attained by organising discussions, debates, quest lectures, seminars and excursions - and attending international ATA and YATA activities both in Finland and abroad. A second goal of the Network is to create contacts between Finnish and foreign students/young professionals. Another web of contacts is created between students/young professionals and academics, government officials, politicians and other actors working in institutions related to security and defence policy-making. The interactions are made possible in various national and international ACF and ACF Youth Network activities. These contacts provide all parties with a fruitful exchange of information, ideas and views, and can be very inspirational for everybody. How to participate? There are many ways of participating. You can either join our mailing list for information on our activities, join the ACF and get all the benefits of membership, and/or become involved in organising local events and participate in international activities. Welcome!
